Indians score 7 in 7th to top Tigers, 9-3

The Indians rode a 7-run seventh inning in Detroit Friday night to beat the Tigers 9-3 at Comerica Park.

Trevor Bauer was touched for 3 runs in six innings and got the win for the Indians. He struck out 5.

Cleveland trailed 3-0 in the top of the seventh when the Indians’ bats started to make noise.

Nick Swisher drove in the first two runs with a single and it was 3-2.  Ryan Raburn tied the game with an RBI double. Chisenhall scored to make it 3-3.

The rally continued. Jason Kipnis ripped a 3-run homer to give the Indians the lead for good. Asdrubal Cabrera followed with a solo homer for a 7-3 lead.

Cleveland made it 8-3 in the 9th when Kipnis hit a solo homer, his 5th roundtripper of the season.  Nick Swisher hit a ground rule double to make it 9-3.

Cleveland has two games on Saturday with the Tigers: a 1 p.m. game and a 7 p.m. affair.
