A woman who underwent a stem cell treatment for paralysis reportedly developed a nose on her back several years later.
According to Daily Mail, the woman is from the United States, but the procedure occurred at a hospital in Portugal. Doctors implanted tissue from her nose into her spine hoping to repair nerve damage.
The nerve damage did not go away, and eight years later, the woman began to experience pain in the area of the operation.
Doctors found a three-centimeter-long growth consisting of nasal tissue, bones and nerve there.
