Dachshunds to invade Northeast Ohio park

It's said every dog has its day.

On July 12th  it will be all about Dachshunds in Summit County.

The 17th annual Northeast Ohio Dachshund Picnic is taking place at Plum Creek Park in Kent. The cost is $1 per dog.

The event will offer raffles, vendors, and even door prizes.

Picnic organizers Stacey Wolfe and Brian Geiger were in the FOX 8 studios Saturday morning to give discuss the 'long and short' of the event.
