The Indians took 2 out of 3 games in Los Angeles, thanks to a nail-biting 5-4 win on Wednesday afternoon. The win evened the 8-game trip out west, with 4 wins and 4 losses.

A clutch, 2 run base hit in the 8th inning by Mike Aviles provided the go ahead runs and the Indians hung on after that to record the win.

Cleveland took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning when Ryan Raburn hit a 2-run shot with Yan Gomes aboard.

The Dodgers came back against starter Trevor Bauer, as they plated three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Andre Ethier ripped a 2 run basehit to give the home team a 3-2 lead.

Cleveland tied the game and took the lead in the 8th inning.  David Murphy singled in Michael Brantley to make it a 3-3 game. Then, Aviles delivered the base hit to make it 5-3.

The Dodgers made things dicey in the bottom of the 8th inning when Scott Van Slyke hit a solo shot to make it 5-4.

In came Allen, who got the save but not without drama. There were two men on with two outs when he got Matt Kemp to fly out to end the game.

Bryan Shaw got the win in relief. He is 3-1 on the year.

The Indians return to Progressive Field for a ten game homestand, starting on Friday night when the Royals come to town.
