ELYRIA, Ohio -- One person was killed during a fight involving about 30 people, the Elyria Police Department confirmed.
Officers were called to Garden Street around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday for a report of someone pounding on a resident's door.
While en route, another call was made to report multiple gun shots in the area.
When they arrived at the scene, a 24-year-old Lorain man was bleeding profusely and appeared to be unconscious.
He later died at the UH Elyria emergency room.
Witnesses told police the victim was involved in a large fight and was shot as he attempted to run away.
His name was withheld until his family could be notified.
A the time of this report, no arrests had been made.
