All lanes of I-480WB reopen after deadly crash

CLEVELAND -- A motorcycle accident shut down all lanes of I-480 westbound at Ridge Rd. Tuesday night, but they have since reopened.

According to Cleveland EMS, the motorcycle rider died in the crash. Several others were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center.

The Cleveland Division of Police said the driver of the motorcycle "operated recklessly" and hit the rear bumper of a car while going over 60 miles per hour.

Both vehicles crashed.

The motorcycle driver, a 29-year-old male fro Brecksville, died at the scene.  His name has not been released.

A 24-year-old female was driving the car.  She and two passengers were treated and released from the hospital.  They are all from Garfield Heights.

No names have been released.
