Rescue crews find 2 victims in Mayfield Village crash

MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio — Safety crews, including a water rescue team, were called to an accident in Mayfield Village early Friday.

It happened on Route 91 just south of Chardon Road and north of Highland near Parkview Drive just before 7 a.m.

Fire officials said a vehicle was found off the road in a marshy area. One male had been ejected from the vehicle, and another had to be extricated. Both were taken to the hospital.

K9 officers were brought in to search the area. No other victims were found.

It’s not clear how the accident happened, and the names of the victims have not yet been released.
