Man flags down police after being shot in chest

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A man flagged down police early Saturday after he was shot in the chest.

According to Cleveland police,  it happened at around 3 a.m. in the 1700 block of East 55th Street.

Officers were in the area at the time and said they heard multiple gunshots. They pulled into Rapid Stop gas station, and were then flagged down by the 25-year-old victim who was bleeding from his chest.

He was able to tell police only that he thought the suspects drove away, heading south on East 55th Street.

The victim was unable to give a description of the vehicle or the suspects, said police.

He was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds to his chest and arm.

The incident is still under investigation.
