CLE kicks off 2014 outdoor pool season

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The 2014 outdoor pool season was launched Saturday by Mayor Frank Jackson at the Lonnie Burten Pool.

They also celebrated the installment of a new water slide and play area at the facility.

All outdoor pools will be open Wednesday through Sunday from noon until 7:30 p.m. throughout the summer. Outdoor pools will also be opened whenever temperatures reach 85 degrees or higher, and the city spray basins will be opened when temperatures reach 80 degrees or higher.

Indoor pools at city recreation centers are open Monday through Saturday during regularly scheduled recreation hours. There are no charges or admission fees for any city pool, spray basin or recreational program.
