A North Carolina woman almost didn’t get to keep a huge tip that a customer gave her.
According to WTVD, Shaina Brown, who works at Waffle House, received a $1,000 tip from a customer who absolutely loved her customer service skills.
But, there was a problem. The customer left the tip on a credit card so she had to return it. Brown said the manager told her that goes against Waffle House policy, which is: unless a customer pays in cash or check, extremely large tips have to be refunded in case the customer disputes the charge.
Luckily, the customer heard about the problem with the tip, came back and gave her a check that she could keep.
