WESTLAKE, Ohio -- Pastor Paul Endrei, who leads the prominent Church on the Rise in Westlake, has been indicted on sexual battery charges regarding a teenage girl.

The Avon Police Department said Endrei faces two counts of sexual battery and one of sexual imposition.

Police said they were called to aid in an investigation with Lorain County Children Services last July and completed the investigation last September.

Endrei was just recently indicted.

His church issued a press release in his name that reads in part:

“The Church on the Rise…is aware of the recent indictment…of Pastor Paul Endrei. We pray for Pastor Paul, his wife and 5 children…"

Regarding the teenager at the heart of the allegations, the statement continues:

"We pray that this troubled adolescent receive the help and counseling she needs. The Church believes in our legal system and that the truth will come out…. Pastor Paul maintains his presumption of innocence and hope(s) that all reserve judgment until all facts are properly aired in a court of law.”

Jane Robertson, the interim director of Lorain County Children Services, tells FOX 8, "we are aware of the investigation, and we have fully cooperated with Avon police, and will continue to do so."

The Lorain County Sheriff's Office says Endrei has appeared in court and is out on bond.
