ERIE, Pa. — A Pennsylvania woman has lost custody of her baby after admitting to accidentally spiking the girl’s formula with vodka.

According to NBC News, Jessica Bachmaier, 26, said she mixed the formula with what she thought was water in a water bottle. Then she gave the drink to Nevaeh, 13 months, in a sippy cup.

She said the baby was like a “limp noodle” and began standing up and falling down before passing out. Bachmaier eventually took the baby to the hospital, where doctors said her blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit for an adult.

Bachmaier said she doesn’t drink and believes the vodka was left behind by a man who babysat for her.

Neveah was treated and placed in foster care. Now authorities are investigating the case.
