GEAUGA COUNTY, Ohio-- The superintendent of the Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools was arrested and charged with DUI, according to the Geauga County Sheriff's Office.

Court records show Stephen Thompson was arrested at 2:30, Saturday morning, on Mayfield Rd. He was charged with DUI and failing to maintain a safe distance.

The initial call came in as an accident.

Court records also show his blood alcohol level was .17; that's more than twice the legal limit.
