HURON TWP., Ohio — Two bodies were found Saturday in Huron Township after a postal carrier alerted police to an accumulation of mail at a home in Beachwood Villas.

According to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, police responded to the home in the 1500 block of Cleveland Road around 4:30 p.m. to conduct a welfare check.

Inside, they found the badly decomposed bodies of two people. Authorities say while the bodies may be those of the two people who lived at the home, positive identification hasn’t yet been made.

The Erie County coroner responded to the scene along with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Causes of death have not been determined. The bodies will be taken to the Lucas County coroner’s office for autopsies.
