CALGARY, Alberta — A restaurant in Calgary is turning the tables on parents — and tipping families whose children make it through dinner well-behaved.

According to the Calgary Sun, the Carino Bistro is offering to deduct $5 from the bill. The restaurant owner began giving the discount about a year ago as a way to thank customers for keeping the experiences of their customers comfortable.

One set of parents recently posted a copy of their receipt with the deduction, and it went viral.

Some think it’s a nice touch. Others are insulted, saying the discount punishes parents who have children with unexpected behavior and even conditions.
