Almost 10K in Drugs Discovered in Ashland Home

ASHLAND, Oh – Police uncovered several pounds of marijuana and several hundred dollars while searching an Ashland home Tuesday.

Officers searched the home on Cottage Street involved in trafficking marijuana. Officer Kiley and his K-9 Fello recovered 2.70 pounds of marijuana. The street value of the drug is $9,275. Drug paraphernalia along with $797.00 was also found.

The man who lived in the home, Kirk Bennett, 36, was arrested for trafficking marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and criminal tools. Some of the charges may be enhanced because of how close he lived to a school.
