CLEVELAND– Two malnourished horses and two dogs were rescued from a property on Cleveland’s east side on Thursday.

The animals were found during a raid of the junkyard near East 64th and Kinsman.

Investigators were given a search warrant after they noticed a bunch of tires from the road.

They’re now looking into whether it’s being used as an illegal dumping site.

The horses will stay with the Cleveland Police Mounted Unit; the dogs will go to the city kennel.

Police aren’t yet saying who owns the property or what charges those people could face.
