Retired South Euclid K-9 Honored for Service

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio- A retired K-9 from the South Euclid Police Department has received a special honor.

Bil Jac Dog Food and the German Shepherd Dog Club of Northern Ohio honored K-9 Recon for his outstanding service during his seven-year career, according to the South Euclid Police Department’s Facebook page.

Recon and his partner, Patrolman Blansette, received the Hero Dog Lifetime Achievement Award.

K-9 Rex, who passed away in February, was also honored during the ceremony by being inducted into the Hero Dog Hall of Fame.
