Police: 2 People Arrested in Family Dollar Robbery

CLEVELAND – Two people have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a Family Dollar Store.

According to police, when they arrived to the store on Payne Road at 9 p.m. Saturday they saw two suspects inside. The suspects then took off, and two officers ran after them.

Alex A. Littlejohn, 21, was shot in the side by an officer during a struggle. The officer was also injured, and was taken to Charity St. Vincent Hospital where he was treated and relesed.

Littlejohn was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he is in stable condition.

A loaded handgun was found inside the store. None of the customers or workers inside the Family Dollar Store were injured.

The second suspect, John H. Tisdel, 24, was arrested in the area of E. 32 Street.

The robbery is still under investigation.
