Police: Man Dies After Stabbing Near Bar, Beverage Store

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police was investigating a stabbing that occurred after a fight at a bar early Friday morning.

It happened near the Harvard Wine and Grille and a beverage store on Harvard Avenue near East 142nd Street around 1:45 a.m., police said.

Several men were involved, and one was stabbed in the face or head area.

He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he died around 2:30 a.m.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified him as Monte Robertson, 41, of Cleveland.

Another man was taken to South Pointe Hospital for what was believed to be a stab wound.

His name had not been released at the time of this report.  A condition was not available.  No arrests had been made.

Homicide detectives were working on the case.
