Cavs’ Dan Gilbert “Shocked” by Sterling’s Alleged Comments

CLEVELAND- Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert released a statement reacting to the alleged racist comments attributed to Clippers owner Donald Sterling.

Gilbert said, “It is shocking that anyone could hold the kind of offensive and feeble minded views that are being attributed allegedly to the Clippers owner, Donald Sterling.”

Gilbert added, “The diverse staff members of the Cleveland Cavaliers franchise are unified in encouraging Commissioner Silver and the NBA to respond with swift and appropriate action consistent with a strong zero-tolerance approach to this type of reprehensible behavior.”

On Tuesday, the league is believed to be responding to the controversy , at the behest of the players union. Members of the Clippers and Heat have made on court gestures in opposition to Sterling.
