Area High Schools continue to fundraise to help Harvest for Hunger. On top of helping feed those in need, these Seniors are in the hunt for scholarship money and Cedar Point tickets.

Here is how the Scholarship Giveaway works:

  • Registered schools set up a fundraiser to help Spitzer Cares raise money for 4 local food banks. Each school has a fundraising goal of $1 per Senior Student.
    • **Example: If your school has 203 Senior Students in the 2014 class, your school will need to raise $203 or more to be considered in the Scholarship Sweepstakes.**
  • Fundraisers may run from through 5/15/14. All schools that reach their dollar goal will have all Senior Students entered into the drawing for 17 – $1,000 Scholarships!
  • The school that raises the largest percentage of dollars based on class size will win 40 Cedar Point Tickets for the school to award at their discretion! That’s $2,000 in value just for helping us help our local food banks.

Here are our top performing schools ($$$ raised vs. class size):
1. Ledgemont High School
2. St. Peter Chanel High School
3. New London High School
4. St. Vincent-St. Mary High School
5. Perry High School (Lake County)
