Police: 70-Year-Old Pulls Gun on Women in Road Rage Incident

SOLON, Ohio — A 70-year-old man faces charges in an alleged road rage incident in Solon.

According to police reports, officers were called to the 29000 block of Aurora Road just before 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Two women told police that they were driving on Aurora Road near Cochran Road when they were involved in an incident with an older man in a black pick-up truck.

The women said the man in the truck pulled a pistol at them, threatened them and drove away. While officers were talking to the victims, the suspect was seen driving on Aurora Road and was pulled over.

Allan Uthe, 70, of Solon was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated menacing. Police said Uthe does have CCW permits.

The weapon and permits were confiscated, said police.
