Having the first lady speak at your high school graduation ceremony seems like quite the experience, but students in Kansas petitioned to have Michelle Obama removed from the lineup.

According to the Daily Mail, the graduates were concerned there would not be enough seating for family members since it would have to be limited for security reasons.

Obama will speak at a ‘senior recognition day’ that same weekend instead.

The first lady was invited to the mid-May graduation because it’s the 60th anniversary of the integration court case of Brown v. Board of Education.
