As times change, so does the meaning of being a gentleman.

Country Life Magazine established a set of “Gentlemanly Commandments” accompanied by a list of things a gentleman never does.

By its standards, a gentleman is at ease in any situation (and puts others at ease), is always on time, and always dresses to suit the occasion.  He occasionally gets drunk, but never disorderly.

However, Country Life Magazine says a gentleman never does certain things.

A gentleman must never tweet, put products in his hair, own a cat or walk out on a play.
