Man Sentenced in Case of Body Found in Lakewood Closet

CLEVELAND — The man accused of killing a woman whose body was found in a Lakewood closet changed his plea Tuesday.

According to FOX 8’s Melissa Reid, Johnny L. Johnson, of West 117th Street, plead guilty to murder and tampering with evidence.

Aggravated murder and felonious assault charges were dropped.

The body of Pamela Jo Friedl, 55, was found in the closet of her unit in the Elbur Manor Apartments in the 13500 block of Detroit Avenue in September.

Johnson was sentenced 15 years to life in prison, Reid said.
