American Airlines Responds After Girl Tweets Terrorist Threat

A Twitter firestorm erupted Sunday after an account belonging to a 14-year-old girl named Sarah tweeted an alleged terrorist threat to American Airlines, according to Business Insider.

The tweet sent out said the sender’s name was Ibrahim and that he was part of Al Qaida. It also said on June 1st they were “gonna do something really big bye.”

American Airlines responded by saying they were reporting her to the FBI.

Sarah then began sending a flood of tweets apologizing, saying things like “I’m just a girl pls.”

American Airlines hasn’t responded since.
