My Town: Strongsville Child Safe Community Day Fair

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — The city of Strongsville is hosting its annual child safety fair to raise awareness for protecting its youngest citizens.

The 10th annual Child Safe Community Day Fair will be held Sunday, April 13, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Strongsville Ehrnfelt Recreation Center.

This year’s fair will include demonstrations and talks from local law enforcement, the Northern Ohio Poison Control Center, a representative from RB&C Injury Prevention¬† and several others. MetroHealth Medical Center will also host an “Ask the Doc” Q & A session with physicians available to answer questions and concerns.

The fair will also include a “Bully Proofing Your Child” program for children 3rd thru 6th grades, and an interactive stranger danger awareness program and martial arts demonstration conducted by Master Jeff Ellis.

An Easter egg hunt, ice cream-eating contest, face painting, inflatables and other activities will be available for children as well.

All attendees will receive a child identification kit, complete with an emergency medical release card, fingerprints and a personal description record.
