CRESTON, Ohio -- A Northeast Ohio mother gets the surprise of a lifetime after returning home from a cruise.
Evan Maibach had been deployed for nine months in Afghanistan.
While his mother was on vacation, he enlisted the help of family members to plan a day full of surprises.
It started in a restaurant as Evan covered his mom's eyes for the special moment.
But the day didn't end there: the whole family also helped surprise Evan's grandma Elaine.
