Death of Elderly Woman Ruled Homicide

AUSTINBURG, Ohio — Investigators say the death of an elderly woman last week has been ruled a homicide.

The woman was found unresponsive in the kitchen of her Sexton Road home in Austinburg around 11:20 a.m. Sunday, March 30.

The victim’s neighbor had gone to her home, and the front door was unlocked.

Deputies will not say how the woman died.

The incident is still under investigation.
