My Town: Team Launches Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Racers have announced the team is again launching its annual campaign to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.

The 15th annual “Catching Cancer Before it Hits Home” Campaign will host several awareness events throughout 2014.

The Akron Racers Charities has previously raised nearly $120,000 in support of the AGMC’s Muffins for Mammogram program, among other initiatives. The team has also announced two “Pink in the Park” Nights on Tuesday, June 10 and Saturday, August 9.

During the month of April, the Racers are hosting a t-shirt sale with proceeds benefiting the campaign.
