The Ohio Department of Agriculture issued a public health alert on Tuesday for canned salsa and con queso that was produced by Marcelita’s Authentic Food restaurant on Darrow Rd. in Hudson.

The ODA said all Marcelita’s salsa and con queso products should be tossed out because, “the product was produced in an environment where it may have become adulterated.”

The products in question were sold at the Darrow Rd. restaurant and also at Heinen’s grocery stores.

There haven’t been any reports of people getting sick; but the ODA said if you have signs of foodborne illness, call your doctor right away.

If you have a question about food safety, you can call the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Division of Food Safety at 614-728-6250.
