COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ben Haraway scored 29 points and Jeff Thomas added 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead Norwalk — making its first trip to the final four — to a 65-58 victory over defending champion Columbus Watterson on Saturday in the Division II finale.

Watterson (26-3) drew to five points late but Haraway, an honorable mention Associated Press all-stater, hit four free throws in the final 36 seconds.

Second-team All-Ohioan Matt Hughes had 23 points and 10 rebounds for fourth-ranked Watterson (26-3), which hit just 4 of 24 behind the arc.

Second-ranked Norwalk (29-1) made 8 of 11 shots in the first quarter, scoring the final six points, to take a 20-14 lead it never relinquished. The Truckers led 31-19 at the half and 42-33 through three.

Very disappointed in the lack of coverage by FOX 8. #2 in the state in Div. II and not even a mention until this. I guess Norwalk is only in the viewing area when it comes to storms or bad news. Congratulations to the Norwalk Truckers on the schools 1st state championship in basketball.
