MEDINA TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Two men were charged in connection with a shooting in the parking lot of a Dairy Queen on Medina Road.
Terry Yuschak, 48, of Perrysville, was charged with felonious assault. Mason Braun, 18, of Medina, was charged with tampering with evidence.
Police said Martez Hope, 22, of Brunswick, was shot around 7:20 p.m. Thursday. He was sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle and someone shot through the passenger window, while standing outside of the vehicle.
Police said Hope identified the shooter as Yuschak.
Hope was hit in the arm and the bullet went into his chest. He was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center where he is in critical condition.
Police said a family of four with two children, along with staff, was inside the Dairy Queen when the shooting happened. The family was in the back of the restaurant and did not witness the crime.
Yuschak and Braun made a court appearance Friday. Bond was set at $1 million and $100,000 respectively.
At the time of this report, the next court date had not been set.
