Man Shot in Dairy Queen Parking Lot in Medina Twp.

MEDINA TWP., Ohio-- Authorities tell FOX 8 News that a man was injured after a shooting in the Dairy Queen parking lot on Rt. 18 in Medina Twp., just after 7 p.m.

Medina Twp. Police Chief David Arbogast said a man was sitting in the driver's seat of a car when another man shot through the passenger window, while standing outside of the vehicle.

The bullet hit the man in the arm and went into his chest. He was life flighted to MetroHealth Medical Center; his condition is not known.

Police said a family of four with two children, along with staff, was inside the Dairy Queen when the shooting happened. The family was in the back of the restaurant and did not witness the crime.

The suspected shooter and another person were taken into custody.
