Both the Cleveland State Vikings and the Akron Zips men’s basketball teams saw their seasons end Wednesday night in first-round action in the Tournament.

The Vikings dropped a 64-62 decision to the Ohio University Bobcats in Athens.

The winners got two free throws from Antonio Campbell with 4.7 seconds left. Those points negated a great effort from Bryn Forbes, who hit for 20 points and pulled down 9 rebounds. CSU ended its season with a 21-12 mark.

The Akron Zips Demetrius Treadwell closed out his career with a sterling offensive performance that went for naught against IPFW.

Treadwell made his first 11 shots and finished 11 of 12 from the field and wound up with 25 points but the Zips lost 97-91. The 91 points was a season high for Coach Dambrot’s team. The Zips ended the year with a 21-13 record.
