Video That Will Make You Believe in Romance Again

(CNN) — Yes, the online clip that made you believe in romance again is trying to sell you daisy-print dresses.

The “First Kiss” video, an extremely intimate black-and-white slice of lust has been shared millions of times and inspired all sorts of mushy sentiments — which is great for love, but it’s also great for Wren, the Los Angeles-based clothing company that commissioned the video.

The short montage, created by filmmaker Tatia Pilieva, shows hesitant, beautiful people indulging in awkward — yet strangely touching — first kisses. It was published Monday on YouTube.

The first tipoff that it’s an ad? The video opens with “WREN presents.” Is Wren a nebulous organization specializing in butterflies and falling in love with strangers?

Not really.

The company also tweeted the video out on Tuesday to plug its Fall 2014 collection.

Is your heart withering yet?

Turns out, at least some of the attractive strangers (why are they always attractive strangers?!) are actually models or actors. Slate has identified a few of them, which makes us feel better knowing that not every person plucked off the street looks like he stepped out of an Urban Outfitters catalog.

HLN reached out to Pilieva and Wren studio, but did not receive a response. Wren did reply on its Twitter account to inquiries from others:
