ALLIANCE, OH — Fox 8’s own Stefani Schaefer led a discussion at the University of Mount Union Tuesday with the highest-profile, most talked about magazine editor in the world as part of the annual Schooler Lecture series.

Stefani is a 1993 alumna of Mount Union.

The event, “An Evening with Tina Brown,” featured the former editor-in-chief of Tatler, Vanity Fair, the New Yorker, Newsweek and The Daily Beast.

In 2010, Brown launched the annual Women in the World Summit, which has grown from a small theater to the 2,500-seat Lincoln Center. The annual summit features leaders from all over the world.

“Incredibly brave women all by themselves, not supported by anyone, going out into their communities and changing things. This I feel is the story of our times that must be reported. So Women in the World is doing just that,” said Brown.

The Women in the World Summit has featured participants such as Hillary Clinton, Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep and Oprah Winfrey.
