CLEVELAND–RTA said one of its drivers was assaulted after an argument with a passenger.

RTA spokesperson Jerry Masek told FOX 8 that a woman with a stroller got on the bus near East 156th and Lakeshore around 12:30 Saturday afternoon and another passenger refused to accommadate her.

That led to an argument between the driver and the passenger. RTA said the passenger then assaulted the driver.

He was not badly injured and refused treatment.

The suspect took off before transit police arrived.

RTA said the driver will be taken off the road while the incident is investigated.
