Small Plane Goes off Runway at Burke Lakefront Airport

CLEVELAND- No one was injured when a small plane went off the runway at Burke Lakefront Airport, Thursday night.

According to spokesperson, Jackie Mayo, it happened around 6:30 p.m. as the Diamond single engine plane tried to land.

Mayo said the conditions on the runway were good at the time of the landing, so it’s not known why it happened.

The Cleveland Fire Department and EMS responded. Some minor damage was done to the plane.
