One Dead in Akron Accident

(One person died in a crash at the intersection of Eastland and Wellington in Akron on March 3, 2014)

AKRON, Ohio — The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed a man died in a car accident Monday.

He lost control of his vehicle around 12:45 a.m. at the intersection of Eastland and Wellington in Akron and struck a utility pole.

The man was pronounced dead at 1:05 a.m.

His name was being withheld pending notification of family.

Akron police dispatchers said another person was taken to the hospital after the crash and speed may have been a factor in the accident.
