STARK COUNTY, Ohio — A school bus crashed through the doors of a bus garage hitting another bus and a wall Thursday morning.

According to the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities, it happened at about 6:40 a.m. — the time buses leave for their runs — at the facility’s transportation garage.

The bus went through the doors, hit another bus and then struck a wall inside the garage. There were no injuries, according to school officials.

There was one bus driver and an assistant on the bus at the time.

Officials said it’s not yet known how the accident happened. Structural damage to the building is being examined.

Accidents happen, good thing there were no students on the bus. A DOT mandated drug and alcohol test was no doubt [by law] performed and this driver will not be a driver anymore I imagine.

Calm down Sharon. I simply stated that DOT mandates a test for commercial drivers, O-K? I also stated it was good no students were on the bus. Why so defensive?

You people work together? How is a news crew even aloud on school property to take this pic? Also seems shady to me! Where I come from we don’t drop dimes on each other and absolutely not aloud to discuss anything about our school district online! It’s called respect for your workplace and your co-workers! This includes teachers, administrators, mechanics, drivers, aides, security and anyone else that receives a paycheck with the same name on it!

This involves Public Sector, tax supported employees. Freedom of information. You wish protection from the tax payers, don’t work for the tax payers.

chance of brakes not working properly is not an option.the buses are highly maintained on a regular basis. may have been driver error. buildings and buses are just objects. we should be glad no one was injured or killed instead of pointing fingers.
