AKRON, Ohio — Several residences in Coventry Township have been without water for over 20 hours after a water main break.

According to the city of Akron Water Department, an entire trailer park community is affected as well as a two-block radius of homes near Manchester and Carnegie.

As of 9 a.m. Sunday, they’d been without water for nearly 16 hours, according to city officials.

City officials say the department does not have the equipment necessary to dig up the road and will have to contact a private company or contractor on Monday.

Officials said they hope the repairs can start Monday morning.

What do they mean they don’t have the equipment to dig up the street? Nothing like be truly unprepared for an emergency situation!

It terrible because most people in trailer park are disabled and low income. Buying water is expensive and heavy to carry than trying to cook is hard can’t wash dishes. Be nice if the city would drop off water and maybe one of the area restraints would donate food or a church do like noble meals. I know alot of them don’t even have a way to get water.
