PERKINS TWP, Ohio — Two teenagers face charges, accused of setting a fire at America’s Best Value Inn on U.S. 250 in Perkins Township.

Perkins Township police said a joint investigation with local and state firefighters led to the arrest of a 16-year-old from Perkins Township and a 14-year-old from Sandusky.

The 16-year-old was charged with arson three years ago for setting fire to a vacant home. Police said a trail of video evidence led to the boys’ arrest.

Both were being held in the Erie County Detention Center and face arson charges in the case.
