TREMONT, Ohio — Valentine’s Day may have been Friday, but Cupid is still running through the streets of Cleveland…in his undies.
Saturday was the annual Cupid’s Undie Run.
Hundreds of runners wore their bedroom best in 19-degree temperatures Saturday afternoon for the one-mile run through Tremont.
All the proceeds go toward the Children’s Tumor Foundation.
Because the money benefits a good cause, runners say they don’t mind baring it all, because they are “freezin’ for a reason.”
“It’s a really great cause, and everyone’s out here just having a great time and raising money for an incurable disease,” said Amanda Petrak, race director.
Last year’s run brought in more than 800 runners and raised more than $200,000. Organizers ere hoping to beat that record with Saturday’s run.
