FAIRFIELD TWP., Ohio — A 17-year-old from Columbiana crashed his car and is blaming Bigfoot for the accident.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, it happened at about 3 a.m. Jan. 28.

Columbiana Sgt. Ron Cox confirmed that Robert Sevenich, of Columbiana, was in his vehicle near the intersection of Crestview and Bunker Hill roads in Fairfield Township when he said he saw a Bigfoot standing next to a stop sign.

Sevenich told troopers he hit the gas, went off the left side of the road and crashed into the ditch.

Police searched the area but didn’t find evidence of a Bigfoot.

Sevenich faces a charge of failure to control his vehicle.
