HOUSTON, TX — A furniture store will have to refund customers an estimated
$7 million after the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl on Sunday.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the owner of Mattress Mack ran a 10-day promotion leading up to the Super Bowl. He promised customers their money back if the Seahawks beat the Broncos. To be eligible, customers had to purchase $6,000 worth of furniture and have it delivered before kickoff.

About 1,000 people participated.

This isn’t the first time the store owner had to pay up. Earlier this year, he had to give back about $685,000 in refunds to customers who chose the Seahawks and the Broncos as playoff victors.
