Terry Bradshaw, a fixture in pregame Super Bowl coverage, will not be a part of this year’s events in light of the death of his father.
According to Fox Sports, Bradshaw’s father, William “Bill” Marvin Bradshaw, passed away Thursday after a long illness. He was 86.
Fox Sports states that the NFL Hall of Famer and former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is with his family and will not appear in coverage of Super Bowl XLVIII today.
Michael Strahan, who was originally assigned to red carpet coverage during the event, will assume Bradshaw’s position on the pregame show and during the post game trophy presentation coverage.
