Tips Needed on Bank Robber Who Threatened School

LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Investigators want you to take a good look at surveillance photos that show a bank robber who threatened to harm a school.

They’re still seeking tips on the man accused of targeting the KeyBank on Warren Road in Lakewood.

The robbery happened around 10:26 a.m. on Dec. 9, 2013.

During the incident, the man passed a note to the teller demanding money and threatening to harm St. Edward High School if the request was not fulfilled.

Students were evacuated and classes were disrupted for about three hours until the building was deemed safe.

The Lakewood Police Department described the suspect as a black male in his mid to late thirties and 5’9″.  He wore a green and dark-colored jacket with a white stripe and New York Yankees baseball hat.
