Cavs Falter Against Portland Trail Blazers

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers couldn’t keep up the Portland Trail Blazers, falling to the team on the road 96 – 108.

Newcomer Luol Deng was the star of the show for the Cavs with 25 points, 6 boards and 3 steals. He also tacked on a couple assists. Kyrie Irving added 21 points, and the team led 94 – 93 after a 3-pointer from Dion Waiters with 3:44 left in the fourth quarter.

A 12-0 run by the Trail Blazers dashed then the Cavs’ hopes of clinching a second straight win on the road.

The Cavs will next take on the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center on Friday at 9 p.m.
